The Mountain Coach Company is a family affair.
Originally established in 1992, Principals Kevin & Kate Eke, acquired the business in 2005 and are well experienced in local, long distance tour and charter coach services, having operated here on the Gold Coast since 1987.
From former banking and real estate backgrounds Kevin & Kate take much pride in presentation of The Mountain Coach Company product offering you, the customer, friendly personal service and warm hospitality in their day to day tour operations.

Principal Kevin, hails from the Hunter Valley town of Cessnock and spent his youth on the North Coast of New South Wales where his parents had hotels at Taylors Arm (the original Pub with no Beer) and Bellingen where, on leaving school, he went into the banking industry for the next 11 years.
On completion of a real estate course at Sydney University, Kevin spent the next 15 years in sales and property management in the Northern districts of Sydney, including 13 years in his own business.
Active involvement in industry bodies including the Real Estate Institute and Estate Agents Co-operative were a valued learning experience in Kevin’s eventual move to the bus & coach industry, here on the Gold Coast, in 1987.
1992 saw the establishment of Australia Downunder Travel, a fully accredited travel agency, at Coolangatta with family involvement from daughter, Jennifer.
On selling the Agency in 1998, Kevin then concentrated on local tour and charter work assuming control of The Mountain Coach Company in 2005.
Today, Kevin is a hands on operator conducting day tours to the Gold Coast Hinterland as well as accommodation transfers, and the occasional long distance tour thus keeping his many long term customers happy.
Wife Kate was an Albury NSW girl and, on completing her education, also went into banking, eventually moving to Sydney where she met Kevin at the Bank’s Head Office.
Married in 1970, Kate moved to the finance industry before joining Kevin in real estate in their own business looking after the administration and accounting side of the agency.
Moving to the Gold Coast in 1987, Kate and Kevin took on a new bus and coach venture with Kate controlling the secretarial duties of the business.
Now some 24 years on, Kate is still very much involved in the day to day operations of The Mountain Coach Company along with daughter Jennifer, are the friendly voices on the phone when you call.
These days, a very busy grandmother of 5, Kate also enjoys sewing, cooking and, with daughters Jen & Lib, plus grand daughter Mykala, has achieved considerable success over the years in competitive Physical Culture, here in Queensland.
With a dedicated back-up staff, The Mountain Coach Company enjoys a first class service reputation and is highly respected amongst our industry peers.
As proud members of local tourism bodies, Gold Coast Tourism and Destination Tweed, we also enjoy a wide distribution of our Day Tour brochure via some 900 holiday and accommodation locations here on the Tweed Gold Coast.
